- New in iOS 6 - Maps, Passbook, iCloud Tabs and more
Thursday, 27 September 2012
Unlike the smartphone players, Apple does not hide from the public the new iOS: it was presented in the summer. Then we learned about the new maps, integration with Facebook, Mode Do Not Disturb, features FaceTime work over cellular networks and new application Passbook. And yesterday officially released iOS 6. New information from the presentation is not much, but can be considered out of the beta stage. One of the greatest innovations in the second version of the OS was the application Maps, which includes navigation with Siri, 3D-objects on a map and satellite imagery.
In Safari, in turn, appeared full screen mode, you can now also sync open browser tabs between desktop and mobile version via iCloud Tabs. Siri has learned to work with sports ratings and films Rotten Tomatoes. Another new feature is the ability to make calls via FaceTime not just Wi-Fi, and cellular networks. The blessing of modern capacity HSPA, CDMA and LTE-networks allows it. iOS 6 will appear not only on the new device, but the iPhone 4 and 4S, iPad 3rd generation and 2nd, as well as iPod touch.
